Emily was excited about this podcast! We are happy to have been able to finish the series & release it in her memory. Emily's spirit lives on in these episodes & we hope it encourages people to speak openly and authentically on difficult subjects, such as mental health, something that Emily was so passionate about.
The music track to accompany the podcast series was created by Emily's friend Rosie Hopkins,
"There is a tree on Clapham Common that I sat under with Emily over the years in the summer, it reminds me of happy times laughing and chatting. There’s something magical about the idea of how many years that it’s been there watching over everyone as they walk around going about their daily lives. The song comes from the idea of the memories of meeting by the tree and how it captures all these moments from people’s lives. When Emily passed away I sat under the tree on a sunny day and looked through the leaves to the sky and thought about her and the happiness shared beneath those branches. Now when I go for walks I see that tree & think of Em. No matter what happens we will always have our memories of those we lose and when we are gone I like the idea that this tree will hold onto the moments spent there"
